FAVOURITE REAL TECHNIQUES BRUSHES

Today, I wanted to share my all time favourite brushes from Real Techniques. Now, I don't have all of them but the ones I do have, I love but I want to talk about the brushes, that I use everyday and I can't live without.

FACE BRUSHES:

BUFFING BRUSH:
Damn, Daniel, this is an amazing foundation brush. The first time I used this, I just remember thinking, 'where have you been all my life', It literally changed the way I apply foundation. I used to think that my foundation looked cakey and not very blended but with this brush, I just can't express how good it is. All you need to do is apply your foundation in circular motions. It is a build able coverage from medium to full depending on how much foundation you apply but for me, I just keep mine looking medium coverage for everyday wear. It is packed full of bristles and has a round top, which works well at distributing the product evenly. I use this brush all the time with my favourite foundation by Maybelline called Fit Me. It just looks flawless!

CHEEK BRUSH
This is part of Nic's Picks collection and has a unique silver holder! The bristles are slightly fanned out but still packed nicely together to get enough product and make it easier to distribute. I use this with blushers or highlighters like my Collection blush and my theBalm Mary Lou-Minizer. This could be used to pack on a lot of blusher or you can use it in a sweeping motion over your cheeks to give it a subtle look. A great brush that every girl needs.

BOLD METALS 301
This is part of their new collection and it is the bold metals 301 brush which is great for applying contour, bronzer or blush. The packaging of this brush is beautiful! Ithas a three sided rose gold handle that fits perfectly in your hand and has been weighted to make sure it doesn't fall. The brush has a slightly rounded top that is packed with shorter bristles on the outer edge and longer bristles going in. This is what I use to contour or bronze my face. I have two of these, one for bronzing and the other is for blush. I highly recommend this one for either. I use this with my Collection Contour kit.

SETTING BRUSH
What can I say about this brush?! I just love how perfectly small and well shaped it is that is can nestle right underneath my eyes and powder my concealer. It is a great small powder brush that you can just sweep across areas that needs coverage. I mostly use this with my Stila powder but an powder with this brush works amazingly well.

EYE BRUSHES:

DOMED SHADOW BRUSH
Starting from the left, we have the domed shadow brush which is used to apply eye shadow to the lid. It is perfect for blending out primer as well but it does a great job of just packing pigment onto the eyelids. My makeup revolution mono eye shadow in Heavenly is my everyday shadow.
DELUXE CREASE BRUSH
This is what you use to diffuse the harsh line with another colour either similar or darker than your lid shade. You apply some product onto the brush and hold it where your eye socket is placed and blend in windshield wiper motions to make sure the colours blend together. ANGLED EYE BRUSH
This last brush is amazing at really giving your eye shadow definition. Just grab a darker shade, place the brush in your crease and blend. The brush has an angle which helps you fit it snugly into your crease and all you need to do is just swipe right and left to get the product evenly placed.

L.A GIRL ORANGE CORRECTOR REVIEW

Welcome back! So today, I wanted to share my thoughts and opinions on this L.A Girl pro Concealer pen in Orange Corrector. I got mine from eBay but now this product is available on Beautybay.com

So to begin with, an orange corrector is mostly used to correct the coloration of your under eye circles. This is primarily used by people who have a darker skin tone, which helps match and even out the discoloration. I use this over my foundation and blend that in using my Real Techniques sponge.

PACKAGING:
So the product comes in a tube format which is annoying yet easy to apply to the face. What annoys me about it is that the tube is so stiff that you're squeezing for a good thirty seconds before anything comes out however once the product is coming out, it's super easy to just apply it to your face.

PRODUCT:
The product itself is creamy and really easy to blend. I think the consistency of the L.A Girl concealer shades is a match in formula to these even though it's a corrector. This is easy to apply and blends well. I prefer a sponge over a brush but either will work. After that is blended out, I will, as usual, go in with my concealer and blend the two together. My eye bags are thoroughly concealed.
VERDICT:
This is a really good product which I found works amazingly well with my skin tone. It helps to conceal my eye bags and makes my under eye area look much fresher. It retails at £4.99 however I got mine for around £8 for three of the concealers on eBay. It's a great purchase and for those who binge watch Netflix at night, really need this!

Check out this YouTube video of me using the orange corrector to see how it truly works. I hope this helped. Bye!

February Favourites 2016

Welcome back to my blog, so today, I want to talk to you about my monthly favourites. Surprisingly, I actually don't have a lot to show you.

MAC WHIRL LIPSTICK:
I finally brought a bunch of MAC products and I absolutely love everything I brought but my favourite for this month is the always talked about lipstick, Whirl. The nude lipstick that Kylie Jenner started trending is really and truly beautiful. I love this shade so much and compared to Velvet teddy, this is much darker in tone.

GERARD COSMETICS 1995 LIPSTICK:
This is such a cult favourite by instagramers and youtubers and for all the right reasons. It's super creamy, sits nicely on the lip. It's a true mauve nude shade that is slightly darker than what your lips would be. Compared to Whirl, it is definitely a pink nude whereas Whirl is a brown nude but I love this one as it's a great everyday shade, I usually keep this in my handbag to top up even if I use a different lipstick before I leave the house.

THE BODY SHOP HAND CREAMS:
I'm not really a big hand cream kind of person but recently my hands have been really dry, really quick that I needed a quick fix. I had a small sample of the body shop hand cream in the Almond scent and decided to get the bigger version, but instead of the Almond scent, I got the rose scent which I like better than the Almond one. I think it's super moisturizing and really helps my hands breathe better in this weather.

SIMPLES KIND TO SKIN CLEANSING FACIAL WIPES:
No joke, this is my third packet this year alone. I love these facial wipes. I used to use the Johnsons wipes which I still love but they're rarely on sale but with Simples, you can guarantee a sale for only £1.50. They're hydrating and it does take off my makeup completely, especially mascara. I just think anyone who wears makeup needs this in their skin care collection.

CHLOƉ LOVE STORY:
I got this perfume from House Of Fraser because they were having a 50% sale on their perfumes so I decided to make two purchases, Daisy by Marc Jacobs and Love Story by Chloe, this cost me £34 for 50ml and it came with a lotion. I love the way this smells and it is such a long lasting scent that I can smell it on clothe that has already been spritz with it from weeks beforehand. The packaging is cute and the scent is slightly floral but it isn't overpowering. Top notes: Orange blossom, heart notes: Stephanotis Jasmine, and base notes: Cedar wood.

That's it for my favourites until the beginning of next month. Let me know what your favourites for February were.

Does this affordable artiste brush really work?

Hey, so today is a review/first impressions on this Tonsee Pro makeup brush which looks exactly like the Artiste Brush which are super expensive, I also know that MAC does brushes like this as well. I purchased this from amazon for only £1.39! I ordered this on 21st
Jan 2016 and it arrived on the 5th of February.

PACKAGING:
The brush head has tightly packed bristles which has been shaped into an oval. The hand is also slightly rounded to make it easier to hold on to. It's pretty basic, no fancy packaging but for the price, you really shouldn't expect much.

PRODUCT:
When you used this product to apply your foundation, you need to begin by applying the foundation to your skin rather than the brush head as I found that the product got soaked up and didn't apply it thoroughly onto the skin. The brush needs to be used in circular motions for the product to be distributed evenly. My only negative comment would be the size, I think if it was just a tiny bit bigger then the application would be quicker but for the price you get the product for, who am I to complain.

VERDICT:
I think that this is a brush that every person needs in their life. The price is super cheap and it does apply your foundation on smoothly and flawlessly. You really can't go wrong with this product, even if you end up hating it as it would only be £2 out of your pocket and not £20.
