TopShop Beauty

I am so excited to announce that I am trying out my first beauty products from Top Shop! I've heard a lot about them and always wondered how they were because let's face it, when we think of Top Shop, we first think of a branched out international clothing store.  Beauty doesn't appear to mind when you think of Top shop but I was pleasantly surprised when I watched Zoe Sugg's Lipstick collection and she had a nice range of Top Shop products that it never struck me once that Top Shop did in fact work in the beauty world.

I decided that instead of just buying one item such as lipstick, I brought a gift giving kind of thing which includes one lipstick and one blusher. That's perfect for me as those were the most likely things I wanted to buy and try out.

Let's talk packaging: I'm not entirely sure whether they were going for a premium packaging or just standard but I absolutely love it. It's so simplistic that there's no faulting them.  I love the way it looks, kind of hits out a classy side as well as shows a causal side as well.

The lipstick which is in the shade Innocent is definitely not the colour for me. It doesn't appear on the lips as it shows. It wasn't a matte lipstick which is fine and it was a moisture glossy kind of  texture. I'm not sure if I would like the product in a different colour or if TopShop beauty just isn't for me.

The blusher that came with the lipstick is in the shade and is a creme blusher. I don't have any creme blushes so that's another first. I felt that the colour was too light for my skin complexion however it stood out to me as more of a highlighter for my skin tone but has shimmers in it.

Overall, it's an okay product just not the right colours for me. I'm tempted to buy a darker shade and see how that goes, but we'll see.
