Money On My Mind

So recently, I had an epiphany and I have basically thought of a great way to save money. It is something that everyone knows but people have got it all wrong. To really and truly save money, you cannot be tempted to open it everytime you want to splash some cash so the only way for you to feel like you're making progress is by getting a tin can. The great thing about this is that there is no way to open it unless you actually take apart of the lid using a can opener- and you wouldn't want to open it unless you are sure there's enough money in there for it to be worth opening.

I went and got my tin can from the 99p store. Cheap and no hassle. I hope this tin bank makes me at least £10, becuase to be fair it's better than nothing. I went for a Winne The Pooh one- which I find adorably cute. So be quiet! But to be honest, it was the only decent one I(as a girl) could get. As expected these tins are targeted at younger children but do I care? No, I don't and you shouldn't either.

So far I have been adding in pennies to my collection. Mostly just 1p's and 2p's but there are a few 5p's, 10p's and 20p's. Another thing that people have got wrong is the logic of 1p's and
2p's. It all adds up. You only need 10 1p's to make 10p and 5 2p's to make 10p. It's not much but every penny counts.

For this bank, I have no motive with the money, however you might want to pursue one such as 'I want to buy a new game' or 'I want to buy new clothes' to stimulate and encourage you to save your money and remind you of your purpose.

Whenever you find yourself with coins, part some for your safe and
keep some for yourself. So what I do is keep money such as £1 and 50p's in my purse and give away my pennies however if I have more than just one of the 50p and £1, I have to at least put in one for my bank otherwise I'm still spending far too much. When it comes to notes, I don't put it in this because I have a savers account with Barclays and use that to save a bucket load.

Thank you for reading this and I hope you take my advice and start saving like I do.
P.S. I shall report back once I've opened it and calculated how much I've made.

Urban Decay Naked 3

Name: Naked Palette 3
Brand: Urban Decay
Product Type: 12 Eye shadows with double ended brush
Price: Ranges from £30-£50

Package: The package of this product is simply beautiful. It comes in a box which features the obvious, being the name, brand, and other information but they had smartly added the eye shadows product at the bottom of the package to help people see whether they wish to buy the product that consists of a range of golds, pinks, browns and blacks.

Product: As you can see from the image below, the colours goes from light to dark. There are six eye shadows that have a shimmer to it and the other six are matted.

I sampled the eye shadows on my arm and as you can see it didn't come out as great as I hoped it would but nevertheless, I hope it still helps. (Maybe it's my phone that didn't allow it to come out so well.) This image shows the dark colours on the right hand side of the palette.

The colours on the left hand side are mainly pinks of a variety and therefore it was hard to show on my arm but I will still add the image, in case you wish to see it.

Brush: The palette includes a double sided brush. One side is what you would call a Tapered Blending Brush and the other side is known as Flat Eye shadow Brush.

To be fair, I didn't really like the brush and instead I apply the eye shadow using my MAC 219. I felt like the brush was far too soft and therefore wasn't able to hold the product in, as well as when applying the product, i could only manage to get the middle of my eye lid done and was having a hard time getting the product on the left and right side of my lid. Or maybe, I'm just using it all wrong. *sigh*

Disadvantages: Reasons a person may not wish to purchase this product is because:
  1. They already have one of their Naked Palettes and don't wish to splash more cash.
  2. The price-  this particular item is between £30- £50. This product is most likely to be cheaper in other countries such as the USA, but in the UK, this is price range it is in... unfortunately.
  3. You can find dupes of this product on most websites... so why not?
  4. Not their kind of colours. You may be someone who likes more vibrant colours than just the natural ones.
  5. You might have looked at reviews such as this one and hear things that put you off from buying it.

My Rate: I give this product an 8/10. The reason being that the brush isn't up to par with the whole product and because I felt like I would have preferred the first Naked palette as it has more naturals colours, but nonetheless I am still immensely pleased with this product.

Netherlands In The World Cup 2014

Date: 13th June 2014
The 2014 World Cup has finally arrived. I'm not a big football fan but on occasions, I will sit and watch it. I can understand why the world cup is such a big hoha, but to me it's just like all the other previous football matches. However that all changed on Friday 13th June 2014. My brothers were watching the Spain Vs Netherland match, and I had decided to join them after half time. It was by far the one of the best decisions I have ever made, football related, of course. Van Persie's goal and Arjen Robben goals are beautiful.

I was born in Netherlands, Deventer. So you can imagine how proud I had felt when they won 5- 1 to Spain. This match was said to be a revenge match after Netherlands lost to Spain four years ago at the 2010 World Cup. Which as quoted by many, they 'thrashed Spain. But all is not yet over.

Date: 18th June 2014

The Netherlands played against Australia, beating them 3-2. It was so close as Mile Jedinak (Australian) was given a penalty shot scoring on the 54' minute, given them the lead with 2-1, but not even 4 minutes later, did Van Persie (NL) score a goal giving us a tie. After another 10 minutes later, Mephais Depay (NL) scored a goal giving us the lead and the win. Our first goal was taken out from us, when Tim Cahill scored literally a minute later, and you could just see the sadness on our dutch players. That goal most certainly was a reason for them to not celebrate too early. Nonetheless, they won and I'm proud.

Date: 25th June 2014
On the 23rd of June, Holland played against Chile. The game was shown on ITV at 5pm. I actually didn't watch this one, but I've looked over the highlights and seen some of the plays and can honestly say that it was a tough game. The Chilean players are good. But obviously not good enough in this match as we won 2-0 to them.
The first goal was made by Leroy Fer.

This is the beautiful header that he shot on the 77th minute. I think this was a time where all if not most of their supporters had lost hope. Not even 13 minutes later, Netherlands scores another goal.

The next goal was made by Memphis Depay. He scored the goal with the assistance of Robben. He scored the goal in the extra minute that was given and made it a final win for Holland. We currently reside on the top of the board for Group B and have the most points: 9.

Their next match is versus Mexico and it is on Sunday 29th June 2014, at 5pm.

Date: 1st July 2014
As I had expected and hoped, the Netherlands won the match against Mexico. To be honest, I didn't really feel as if they had put 110% into this match however they still managed to score and win.
The first half was spent just really passing the ball around, there was some action and some great saves but still a bit boring for the first round. It was because of a cooling break which was taken at the 30th minute that must have triggered some sense into both teams and soon it became a fight for survival- which coincidentally worked for Mexico as they scored their first and only goal on the 48th minute (an added 4-5 minutes was given due to their cooling break).
After the first half, the Netherlands were back into gear. They were struggling for a while to actually get the ball near the goal and I have to admit that Mexico was playing them around and did a good job (for the most part), but somehow we managed to score a goal just three minutes before the game was to end, thanks to Wesley Sneijder who shot it. This goal put us equally against mexico and therefore the game went to extra time.

The penalty was given because there was contact between Arjen Robben and Rafael Marquez, which was classed as a foul.

The penalty itself was taken by Klaas Jan Huntelaar and this goal was what put us in the lead and now have been placed as one of the 16 teams that went through.

We will be playing Costa Rica on Saturday 5th of July at 9pm.

Date:10th July 2014
The match against Costa Rica was a good one, we had somehow managed to do the impossible and score a goal before the 90 minutes was up, leading us to victory, 2-1. On Wedneday the 9th of July, we played against Argentina in the semi-finals. The full 90 minutes was basically spent just passing the ball around. On a rare occasion they would try to actually shoot but luck was not on their side. Finally the game went into extra time and then pentalties. We lost 4-2. After losing that match we had one last game and that was to determine whether we will be crowned 3rd place or 4th.
We played against Brazil who also lost a spot in the finals by losing against Germany 7-1. Robin Van Persie scored within 3minutes via a penalty and that was shortly followed by Daley Blind on the 18 minute and our last goal was made by Georginio Wijnaldum in the one minute extra time. So after that game we were declared 3rd place in the World Cup 2014.

I would also like to take this moment to congratulate Germany for winning against Argentina, by scoring a goal during the extra time, giving them the name and the world cup.

One Direction Splitting?

One of the things that I have notice is that people who have won the X factor are only around for a while. After winning, they sell an album or maybe even two albums before they disappear and then BAM! Two years later, they’re back but again, not for long. Let’s take a look at some examples.

Leona Lewis: She won X Factor in 2006, her debut single of Kelly Clarkson’s, ‘A Moment like This’,was a super hit and was number in the UK Singles Chart for four weeks. However it was her single, ‘Bleeding Love’, from her first album Spirits in 2007, that had been a great deal of help in getting people to buy her album- not saying that her other songs weren’t great but that was the breaking point. In 2009, her new single ‘Happy’ attracted attention to her, and was number two on the UK Singles Chart. However during 2010, she did a bit of touring before she disappeared. In 2011, her single, ‘Collide’ which she collaborated with Avicii, was four on the UK Singles Chart however in the US is was crowd number 1 in Hot Dance Club Songs.  Last year, in December, she brought out her new Christmas single, ‘One More Night’; she is finally stable after she had been signed on with another company.

Alexandra Burke: She won X Factor in 2008 which was the fifth series, for her ‘Hallelujah’ cover. After that, there was a number of songs she presented like, ‘Bad Boys’, and ‘Start Without You’ which came on to become big hits. In 2011, she went on tour however she has lost her spot in the limelight. There isn’t any news on her on websites like Capital FM.
It is reported that she was the one to leave, Simon Cowell’s company, Syco to join RCA Records, however who knows!Matt Cardle: He won in 2010, having One Direction come 3rd in the competition; however that didn’t stop them from becoming such a big hit. His debut single is a cover of ‘When We Collide’ which was popular when it came out but after a few months, it was old news but was still repeated on radio shows. After Collide, he introduced the public to his next single, ‘Run for Your Life’, which came 6th on the UK Singles Chart. It was late in 2011, when he parted ways with Syco Music and Columbia records but in 2012, joined with So What Recordings and released his second album. Last year October, Cardle released a new album called ‘Porcelain’.

It is clear that each X Factor finalist have moved on in life, however they are keeping hold of the fame they once had, and I don’t mean to say that they don’t have talent but to be honest, there is a lot of competition at the moment. However, there is one artist who has been consistent and that is Olly Murs but even then, he also had a bit of a gap. Not forgetting that Little Mix is doing well, however who’s to say that will last long. The fame that comes from X Factor only lasts for like a year before the artist becomes old news as the next X Factor show starts.
In conclusion, I wouldn’t be surprised if 1D splits up (however I do believe that they will get back together…eventually). To be quiet frank; it was going to happen anyway, as X Factor doesn’t seem to be able to hold onto artist/groups for much long before they move on. It is clear those artists that are still going on even after X Factor are making it because they are signed up to a different company and not Simon Cowell’s company, Syco. Not only that but each singer in One Direction has something going on, like Louise with his football dreams coming true, Harry with his list of girls to catch with his net, Zayn is planning a wedding(I think), Niall is looking for love and Liam is hanging out with his girlfriend.Hell! Even if they aren’t a group, they will always stay famous for their looks and are bound to be linked to other artist/ celebrity friends.

I wrote this post on 13th March 2014, and it was only confirmed on 27th April that One Direction are NOT splitting: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/dan-wootton/5592768/One-Direction-blast-rumours-of-a-split-in-exclusive-interview-with-The-Sun-On-Sunday.html?CMP=SOC-sunplus_acquisition-msix-social_sunplusa-_-%20%20_&pc=DigAcq1

Miley Cyrus Is No Longer Hannah Montana

When I was younger, I was a huge 'Hannah Montana' fan but as we can see Hannah Montana is gone and now we just have Miley Cyrus. You shouldn't compare her to how she was because guess what, she grew up and now, she is old enough to decide what she wants to do with her life and it's up to her if she wishes to listen to any advice given to her by others.

VMA Awards 2013
Miley Cyrus wasn't exactly put together when she was singing and dancing and although what she did was wrong, she doesn't deserve all the hate she's getting from paparazzi and people. Paparazzi are known to take things out of context and you have no idea what she’s going through, so you shouldn't judge without knowing the facts. I would like to take this opportunity to say that she wasn't singing alone throughout that night. 'Blurred Lines', was sang with Robin Thicke who hardly got any criticism from paparazzi about that performance. Why?
He's older. He has children. He's married. Yet, he thought it was acceptable to let her do what she did. Unbelievable! I am pretty sure, that for such a big gig, they were bound to practice
and rehearse so there is no reason as to why Robin Thicke shouldn't get criticized for allowing it to happen.

Liam Hemsworth
It hasn't even been two days since they announced their split up and already Liam has moved on. He has been spotted kissing Eiza González, a Mexican singer.  Not only that but apparently he had cheated on her with January Jones,  just weeks before their wedding. How could you not feel sympathy for Miley? Maybe, Liam is to blame for her actions. Who knows? We're not Miley Cyrus.

Wrecking Ball
She's heartbroken. Sometimes for girls, getting cosy in comfy clothe, consuming yourself with loads of snacks and watching an endless supply of chick flick doesn't help. She's a singer, her feelings are portrayed through her lyrics. Her video is slightly inappropriate but think deeper than what you see. She shows herself in such a way because that's how she feels. She lost her love and now she feels bare without it. Without him. She stripped down because she is lost and the lyrics shows that. May I remind you that the 'Blurred Lines' video was a lot worse... well only in the eyes of some?  I also feel that if you think that what she has done is still unacceptable and that you should also question the director Terry Richardson.

Mistakes are allowed
Miley Cyrus is a human being. She is allowed to make her own choices even if, later in life, she realizes that they were a mistake but sometimes, you have to let a person make the mistake in order for them to learn from it and grow up. I do believe that in her own time, she will see her own mistakes, not because others have told her as such but because she, in her right state of mind, will see it herself.  As for Liam, well all I have to say, is that you don't deserve Miley. She was a good girl before you came along and now that you're gone, you've ruined her with your cheating ways and quick move on.

I Am A Supporter
I know, some of you may be thinking; why am I taking her side? To be honest, someone has to and I do see the goodness in her even if you don't.

To The Start

Hello, my name is Sharin Hussain. I am currently editing this on the 28th of January 2016. It's funny how I never thought to add any details about myself (aside from my name), so now after being her since the summer of 2014, I am finally letting you in on my secrets.

1. I am 18.
2. I am studying Fashion at university. I really didn't expect myself to turn to Fashion but then again, God works in mysterious ways so it's fated.
3. I love Chocolate and Ice cream- the combination of them both is amazing.
4. I am a die hard Friends, the tv show, fan. I literally watch them every day, twice a day and can honestly watch the same episode and it'll still be funny the second time round... If you don't like them, well, the struggle of our friendship is real.
5. I used to be a real tomboy, somehow I've managed to merge glam and tomboy together to create a look that defines me.
6. Speaking of tomboys, I have three brothers. They're annoying but I love them.
7. I am super sarcastic and really mean to the people I love but it's okay, they understand me and understand that that's the only way I know how to show them love.
8. I have netflix. It's really bad. I end up procrastinating too much and don't get enough work done but I just can't let it go.
9. I like reading and writing stories of my own.
10. I could really use some chocolate right now.

Now that you have officially got to know me all I want to say is please feel free to read my blog and tell me what you think by commenting on one of my blog posts. I would also like to remind you that I only accept constructive criticism, so please, don't overstay your welcome if you have nothing nice to say.

I aim to become a strong writer and hope that people feel the same way and enjoy reading what I write. Most of the topics I shall talk about in my blogs, are mainly based on my opinions. You may not agree with it and that's understandable however you shouldn't go around judging me about my opinion, like the saying goes, "everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts”.

I truly hope you enjoy reading my blog posts and find what I have say, insightful and inspiring.

Thank you.
