Smashbox

So today, I wanted to talk about the Smashbox Primer Water which has had a lot of hype from many beauty gurus and make up lovers. The primer water acts as a primer (duh), a setting spray and just a general refresher throughout the day.

My initial response to trying this product out was that it was refreshing and was moisturising my skin however when I went on to apply my foundation, I felt like it hadn’t done much to help my skin lock in the foundation and made it look rather cakey. I’m a little disappointed as I was expecting this to be the answer to my problems. My skin is struggling to adapt with foundations even when I use moisturizer etc. and I’m not sure what the issue is. Perhaps watching these youtubers has set my standards a little too high because they are using different lighting and it just looks so flawless but I’m not getting that same desired effect for myself.
I will continue to use this primer water and try using it differently and see if I can make it work for my skin. The product itself cost £20 for 116ml which is decent and will last you a long while.

Savage Beauty

Hey, guys! So recently, I went to the Victoria and Albert museum with my friend to see the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition and I can honestly say I was absolutely blown away by it! Throughout the whole exhibition, not once was my mouth closed- I was in awe at everything that was displayed. So, if you live in the UK and London then head on over to the V&A website and book your tickets today- the exhibition ends in August and from what I have gathered, tickets range from £10.20 (students) - £20 (adults), which is a bargain for an amazing exhibition.
I would tell you more about the exhibition but I don't want to ruin it for you. After the 2nd of August I will update this and talk more in depth about it.

This is the kind of exhibition that you don't need to be interested in fashion or design to want to see it, it's more than that. McQueen is more than just a designer, he's an artist, a creator, tailor and so much more.

Make Up Revolution

Welcome back. So I recently purchased the Make Up Revolution Correct and Conceal Palette and wanted to show my thoughts on it with you.
First off, the product cost £6, and can be purchased at Superdrug. As for the packaging, I actually like it, it's got a glossy finish and looks quite chic but not everyone will agree with me and that's okay.
The palette I chose is light to medium and comes with eight different shades.
The colours are quite versatile as they either have a pink undertone or a peach undertone.

They are super creamy and very blend able. I personally think that they work well and are a complete bargain for the price it's at.

April 2015

This is my first favourites blog post. I'm excited. I've decided to include theee beauty products, and two skin and hair care products Hope you enjoy!

Beauty:
1. L'oreal Paris Lipstick No. 640 with No. 364. These are the perfect two colours I use to create a nude ombré Lip look.

2. Make up Revolution Concealer palette: this has amazing shades that work wonder on my complexion, not only that but it's s complete bargain for only £6. I would recommend this to any one looking for a concealer- there's different shades and you can mix and match.

3. Essence Lip liner in 05- Soft Berry. I love this lipliner so much and it only cost £1. Can't live without it. It's the perfect shade of muave.

Skin/Hair care:
1. L'oreal Paris Elive Fibrology Thickening Hair Shampoo & Conditioner: the scent these two have is amazing- it's really long lasting compared to other shampoos and I found myself catching it's scent every so often. It's a thickening treatment that really works- I got my brother to use it and his hair looks thicker and healthier.

2. Neutrogena nourishing body lotion with Nordic berry. I've really been enjoying this one because it's very smooth, smells great and does keep my skin moisturised for a long while.

Thanks for reading. Bye for now!

First Timers: My First YouTube video

Hello! Today I am so excited and nervous to announce that I have uploaded my first ever YouTube video! Agh! I can't believe I've done it although that's not to say that I won't take it down.

So the video is a 3 minute long video on how to do basic brows using the Beauty UK High Brow kit! I love this kit and I think it works perfectly well with my Rimmel London Brow This Way gel. I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think of it. I should mention and point out that this was recorded and edited on my iPhone 5C- so I'm sorry if it doesn't look of a higher standard but hey- I'm allowed to have the whole 'started from the bottom now we here' moment just like all these other YouTubers had.

*THIS VIDEO IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.*  http://youtu.be/APx6JQFdrqY

Thanks again and bye for now!

L'oreal Paris Lipsticks

Welcome back!
So recently, L'oreal Paris was taking over the superdrug's instagram and were having a sale on some of their lip products for only £3 each. I ordered 5 Colour Riche lipsticks:

1. L'oreal Paris: No. 640- Erotique. This is muave nude lipstick- works better with a lip pencil.

2. L'oreal Paris: No. 364- Place Vendome. This is a maroon red that is perfect for those evenings out. For longer staying power- use a lip liner beforehand.

3. L'oreal Paris: No. 136- Flamingo Elegance. This is your ideal baby pink.

4. L'oreal Paris: No. 431- Fuchsia Declaration. This is a fuchsia pink that is the perfect colour for spring and summer.

5. L'oreal Paris: No. 632- Greige Amoureux. This is a mix between 640 and 136. It is a nude pink for those causal 'no makeup' days that we all suffer from.
