EID MUBARAK

Ramadan has come and gone and I wanted to share the amazing food we had during this month. Ramadan is a time for people to experience what those who are less fortunate than us have and be grateful for all that we do have. It's crazy to think that during this month, we spend the most on food whilst others out there are struggling to find even a drop of water. Ramadan is also a time for giving such as donating your old stuff to charities, giving zakat and feeding the poor. This is such a blessed month as our rewards from Allah are double what they are and it is a time for us to repent and ask for forgiveness.

Eid Mubarak to you all and InshAllah the years to come will be blessed by Allah. I hope you have a great day and share your experience with family and friends.

NEW TO ME: MAKEUP GEEK

Beautybay.com were having an amazing sale on Makeup Geek products for half price and I just had to get my hands on some of their products. I had far too much in basket but most of them ended up being sold out anyway so I only managed to get fourteen items.

I was already planning on doing a huge haul on Makeup Geek products and I had a list of Jaclyn Hill's favourite single eyeshadows from makeup geek listed in my notebook, unfortunately, I only managed to get around 4 from the list but for now, I feel like I have a bit of everything from their shade range.

PRODUCTS/REVIEW:
I ended up getting only 4 pressed eye shadow pans in the shade Mirage, Latte, Cocoa Bear and Brownie Points.

I did manage to get my hands on more of their foiled eyeshadows. These were the last shades left so I got them all. I have the shade Jester, In the Spotlight, High Wire, Pegasus, Mesmerized, and Houdini. I'm so in love the shade Jester- it's such a stunner. They are all really pigmented and they glide on super smoothly.

I also picked up two contour shades, Half Hearted which is a warm medium shade and would suit my skin tone more and Scandal which is a cool deep. It just depends on how sculpt I want my cheeks to look.

The last two products I got were the Full Spectrum eye liner pencil in Nude and Ocean. I honestly haven't heard much about their liners but I was in need of a nude liner and thought why not and the ocean shade just looked lush. The formula is really nice, it glides on and has a soft tip so it isn't harsh on your eyes. I love both shades and I think Ocean is perfect for the summer and just adding a pop of colour on your lower lash line.

VERDICT:
These swatch really nicely, they're very soft and creamy to the touch. The pigmentation on these eyeshadows and contour shades are amazing! I am so impressed with these and I can't to use these. I am definitely going to be growing my makeup geek collection and can't wait to get my hands on Jaclyn Hill's favourite shades.

SLEEK MATTE ME LIP CREAMS

I've wanted to try the Matte Me's after seeing Instagram pictures of their swatches. So I decided to play it safe and get nude/pink shades that I know I will wear all the time. I got my hands on 3 shades but I know there was one more nudey pinks that I didn't want because I knew it would wash me out.

PACKAGING:
To begin with, the sleek packaging is pretty basic but still very fashionable. It's not over the top but still looks nice and classy. The product has a clear square packaging where we are able to see the colour of the product and it has a black matte lid. It has a doe foot applicator which is pretty standard but it works especially getting the tip to outline your cupid's bow. I found that Birthday suit has a different short of applicator where you just have flat edges on both sides with no arch. I'm not sure if that was intended but either way it still applies nicely.

PRODUCT:
I purchased three of them and the first and the nudest is called Birthday Suit. This is a light nude brown shade that works as an everyday shade. Next, we have a berry pink called Shabby Chic. Lastly, we have a mauve toned pink called Bittersweet. Here are the swatches.
(left to right: Birthday Suit, Bittersweet and Shabby Chic)

VERDICT:
When you want to wear these lip creams I would advise that you put Vaseline or some kind of lip balm on beforehand and then wipe off the excess before applying the lip cream, just so that it isn't super drying on your lips which in turn, makes the skin on your lips flake. The shades are really pretty and if you hate the formula, you can always just add a gloss over it and the shades would still look really nice. Lastly, for the longevity, I would say that it is pretty decent, for only £4.99, I've had mine last a good four hours and it will just leave a nice stain on your lips overtime. These are definitely worth it and I would highly recommend these.

HIGH END BIRTHDAY HAUL

Today I have a high end haul for you as it was my birthday on 28th May, I decided to treat myself to products that I have always wanted to try out. I hope you enjoy this and be sure to check out the YouTube video I did talking about these products.

PRODUCTS MENTIONED:
Laura Mercier: Translucent setting powder
Urban Decay: Original Primer Potion
Nars: Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla
Nars: Audacious Lipstick in Anita
YSL: Rouge Volupte Shine in No.9
YSL: Rouge Pur Couture in No.9 Rose Stiletto

LIPS:
So one of the most loved chic lipsticks that looks so aesthetically pleasing is the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine. I've had my eyes on the YSL lipsticks for a long while and had already swatched a bunch in store so I knew which I wanted. I went for shade No. 9. I also got a shade No. 9 in the Rouge Pur Coutour. Another lipstick product I got was the Nars Audacious lipstick in Anita. This is super creamy on the lips.

FACE:
I purchased two popular concealers. The first is Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer in shade Light Neutral and I got the Nars Creamy concealer in Vanilla. I've heard so much about these products on social medias that I thought it was a must have purchase.

The last product I purchased was another talked about product from YouTube and this is the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent. I honestly can't wait to try these products out and see if they are really worth the hype. Check out my youtube videos:

REVLON ULTRA HD MATTE LIPCOLOUR

Hey! So today, I am going to be reviewing the recently launched product in the UK, by Revlon called the Ultra HD Matte Lipcolours which are essentially liquid lipsticks. I have three shades which I got from Boots on a 3 for 2 deal. These retail at £8.99. The first shade I got is called HD Devotion which is a pinky nude, then we have HD Addiction which is a berry shade and lastly I got HD Love which is a true red.

PACKAGING:
I love the way these liquid lipsticks have been packaged. It's so unusual but I love that it is a rounded shape which is flat packed. The package has a frosted finish to it and it is clear so we can see the colour of the product. The cap of is a metallic silver.

PRODUCT:
These liquid lipsticks apply like a gloss and dries mattes. It does take around 5-10 minutes to dry down to a matte finish which I personally don't mind however others might find that too long to wait for a liquid lipstick. I think, in terms of longevity, it does last around 2-3 hours depending on whether you eat ect. This is the first liquid lipstick I own so for me, it is pretty good.

VERDICT:
I would recommend these products because for the price, you have a nice selection of colours, you get that gorgeous packaging that no other brand has done and you get a good product that works nicely. Plus, you can probably save £8.99, thanks for 3 for 2's at Boots or Superdrug.

MAC LOOK IN A BOX ALL SETS

Welcome back and today, I want to talk about the new MAC Look in a Box sets that was recently launched. I got an email from MAC and I was intrigued by the boxes and wondered how much they cost so I went onto their website. These Look in a Box only cost £50 for seven products which is amazing. I ended up purchasing three out of the five sets but then decided to reorder the other two- might as well go all out. The box itself saves you around £25 (excluding the brush which would cost around £15).

LOOK IN A BOX SULTRY DIVA:
This box is all about plum tones which features two eyeshadows in Pearled Earth (which is a grey shimmer) and Carbon (matte black), a blusher in Mocha(a pink flush), a lipstick in Flat Out Fabulous (plum), a lip glass in Dancing Soul (plum pink), a technakohl in Graphblack (black- standard, great for everyday use) and a 116SE blusher brush.

All the lipsticks from the collection.

I honestly can't wait to use these products. It's funny how I only had like five MAC products and now I have over thirty. I most certainly am winning at creating a MAC collection. I also picked up Fix+ to try out as I've heard so many good things. I also got two samples with my order.
